Orga Summoning

 

After diligently studying my Auntie's magic book, Wangah Rah and I set upon a plan to summon an intelligent Orga Magician to town for questioning about their secrets, specifically the whereabouts of Puddleby's catapult and the secrets of their teleportation stones. Luckily for us, the whole town was (mostly) supportative.

 

After tirelessly gathering materials, we announced our intentions and set about preparing things.

 

 

 

Finally, after the culmination of months of tediously translating my Auntie's spell (and using a lost page found by Koric), we continued.

 

 

I won't tell all of the ingredients, but gathering them was a challenge. The hardest challenge, I think , was finding the heart of an Orga Hatred. I had prepared an enchanted box to keep it fresh, but I didn't realize that it would continue to beat! I had Orga chasing me all over trying to get that thing back!

 

 

 

 

As you can see, nearly the whole town turned out to help us chant.

 

 

 

This, above all I think, impressed me the most. Imagine the power behind all exiles reciting the spell!

 

We summon a beast who brings knowledge we seek

On this magick hour, we draw on great power

We summon a creature by the strength of our mind

One with much knowledge...A Magician we bind!

 

 

 

After what seemed like hours, the spell took effect. At first, a single Orga appeared. Later, Hatreds came!

 

We tried to speak to them, but they did not seem very happy.

 

I tried to offer food, but that too did not interest them.

 

 

 

Wangah Rah and I both tried to talk, yell, coerce, threaten them into saying anything. Alas, some spell side effects limited our abilities.

 

After a fierce battle, the Hatreds simply vanished! We're unsure if the spell expired or if they have some means travelling via Purgatory, since the sound they made sounded like what happens when a high level healer activates a Purgatory Pendant.

Later, an exile named Jynx claimed they came and went via Purgatory.

 

 

Jynx has not disclosed his race, is male, is an Apprentice Mystic, and is not wearing the symbol of any clan.

He is holding a pair of metal bracers, and he is wearing a sunstone, a shirt and a pair of pants.

Jynx has 10 good and 1 bad karma.

(Jynx channels light throughout his body)

Merlisk asks, "So, you're sayin' that they used our altar to come here?"

Merlisk asks, "Why didn't they speak to us?"

Wangah Rah asks, "And they came...to stop us?"

Merlisk says, "I did ask them"

By this point, I didn't know whether to believe this mysterious Jynx or what. Then, an Orga Shaman was found that apparently had not left with the other Orgas.

 

Wangah Rah asks, "Can you attempt to speak with this one?"

Merlisk asks, "Speak to it?"

Jynx says, "­é¬¬ø"

Jynx says, "çåñ ¥øü ß¹éåk¿"

Jynx says, "·î¬¬ ¥øü ß¹éåk¿"

(Jynx makes a chorus of sounds.)

Wangah Rah ponders, "I don't think he can be calmed."

(Jynx speaks in a very odd rumble)

Jynx says in Thoom, "it knows children kill their kind"

Merlisk says, "ewww"

After getting nothing from the Shaman, we let one of the fighters kill it. Its dying words revealed that it knew exactly what we wanted!

 

 

 

All in all, I think we did well. We just need more practice and a way to communicate with the Orga.

 

It seems like our work has just begun!
