The Sun Dragon Jam is a music competition
open to all Bard Guild members with an instrument.

The aim of the competition is to:
encourage players of talent;
to help them in their professional aspirations; and
to promote and develop the Bard Guild.


This event was held
high Noon (PST), the 14th day of November, 1999.

Prizes
First Prize: 3000 coins, Tor Shell
Second Prize: 2000 coins, Bone Fragment
Third Prize: 1000 coins
Fourth and Fifth Prizes: 500 coins
Remaining Participants: 300 coins each


Rules
Only one composition per contestant (per round) will be judged in the competition.
The music must be original and composed by the contestant.
The event may be split into two rounds: preliminary and final competitions.
Order of performance in the competition is chosen randomly.
The judges reserve the right to request a repetition of the performance.
Judges/Director have the prerogative not to declare a winner at any level of competition.
All decisions of the competition judges will be final.

The Winners of the First SDC Jam are:

First Place: Perkusi
Second Place: Phineas
Third Place: Trep
Fourth Place: Tonle
Fifth Place: Sor

The competition was organized by the Sun Dragon Clan.

A panel of 6 judges was gathered,
with no more than 1 panel member from a single clan.

Each participant was judged on a scale of 1-10, in the following two categories:
- Composition
- Originality

The Bard with the highest overall score won (both rounds included in total).
